Friends may call at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Chapel, 241 West Main St., Welland after 10 a.m. Thursday. The funeral service will be held in the Chapel on Friday, February 26 at 11 a.m. Interment in Pleasant View Memorial Gardens. Donations to the Ontario Heart Foundation will be gratefully received. MERVYN ISAAC HUNT
The death occurred suddenly in Toronto on Tuesday Feb. 23, 1971 of Mervyn Isaac Hunt in his 49th year.
Born in Pontycymmer, South Wales, Mr. Hunt came to Canada in 1929. He resided in Timmins for 21 years before coming to Welland. He was employed as stockkeeper and supervisor at Fischer and Porter Canada Ltd., Downsview, Ont. Mr. Hunt served overseas in the Second World War and was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion.
Mr. Hunt is survived by his wife Marion Cunliffe Hunt; his son Mervyn; four daughters, Mrs. Paul McNamara (Marilyn) and Mrs. L. Letourneau (Eileen) both of Welland, Joann and Dianne at home; his mother Mrs. Roy Davis (Harriet), Welland, two brothers, Kenneth Hunt, Fort Erie and Evan Hunt, Welland; five sisters, Mrs. David Barnett (Eileen) Fonthill, Mrs. Neil Lane (Joyce) Grimsby, Mrs. David Mitchell (Brenda), Oshawa, Mrs. R. Green (Tegwyn), Toronto and Mrs. Lynn Taylor (Kathleen) Toronto, and three grandchildren Michael and Mark Letourneau and Matthew McNamara.
Friends may call at the H.L. Cudney Funeral Chapel, 241 W. Main St., Welland, after 10 a.m. Thursday. The funeral service will be held in the chapel with Archedeacon F. Allen Hill officiating on Friday, Feb. 26, 1971 at 11 a.m. Interment in Pleasantview Memorial Gardens.
