The death occurred at Beckett’s Bridge, Wainfleet on Saturday of Pelick Fabour Farr, in his eighty-ninth year. Deceased was the son of the late Pelick Fabour and Charlotte Farr, who settled on the Farr homestead one hundred and one years ago. Mr. farr was born on the farm in 1845. He was a grandson of the late Calvin Cook who was the founder of Cook’s Mills and the village being named after him. His mother, Charlotte Cook was born at Drummond Hill during the war of 1812. Mr. Farr spent all his life on the farm. His wife, Henrietta Hoover, died six years ago.

Eight sisters and four brothers predeceased him. Surviving are two sons, Melvin and Elva Farr; one grandson, James Morley Farr, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Lee, Dunnville. Deceased was an uncle of Mrs. Frank Dickson, 1680 Glenholme Avenue, this city.


The funeral will be held from his late residence on Wednesday, Dec. 27 at one o’clock. The interment will be made at Dawdy’s Cemetery.
